The short version

  • We collect as little as we can: your Discord user ID and username, a display name, an email address if we get one, the packs you publish, your votes, how many packs you’ve imported, and records of anything you buy.
  • Your macros, screenshots and game data stay on your PC. They only leave it if you attach a screenshot to a Discord alert or a bug report yourself.
  • No ads. No tracking. No analytics cookies. We never sell your data.
  • Lemon Squeezy handles payments. We never see your card details.
  • Our database is run by Supabase in the EU (Ireland).
  • Only your display name, when you joined, and the packs you publish (with their ratings) are public.
  • You can ask to see, download, fix or delete your data at any time by emailing support@afkify.com.

1. Who we are

AFKify is run by a sole trader in the United Kingdom, trading as AFKify (“we”, “us”). We decide how your personal data is used, which makes us the “controller” under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

This policy covers the AFKify app, the AFKify pack hub and this website. If you have any questions, or want to use your rights, email us. We’re happy to explain anything.

2. What we collect and why

The law says we need a reason, called a “lawful basis”, for using your data. Ours are:

  • Contract: we need it to give you what you signed up for, such as your account, the hub or Pro.
  • Legitimate interests: we need it to run AFKify safely and fairly, and it doesn’t override your interests or rights.
  • Legal obligation: the law makes us keep it, for example business records for tax.
Personal data we collect, why, our lawful basis and how long we keep it
WhatWhyLawful basisHow long we keep it
Your Discord user ID and username, and the basic profile details Discord shares when you sign in To sign you in and connect your account to your packs, votes and purchases Contract Until you delete your account
Your email address, if Discord shares it when you sign in or you give it to us To contact you about your account, purchases or support requests. We don’t send marketing emails. Contract Until you delete your account
Your display name Shown next to your packs and on your creator page. We make it from your Discord display name when you first sign in, never from your email. You can change it. Contract Until you delete your account
Packs you publish: their macros, the small images and text they look for, names, descriptions and update notes To share them on the hub so other players can import, rate and fork them Contract Until you remove the pack or delete your account
Your votes on packs To show ratings, and to make sure each player only votes once Contract Until you delete your account
Which packs you’ve imported, and how many this month To apply the Free plan’s monthly limit, let you rate packs you’ve used, and tell you about updates Contract Until you delete your account
Reports you send us about packs To check and remove harmful packs Legitimate interests (keeping the hub safe) Until you delete your account
A scrambled (one-way hashed) code made from the network (IP) address a pack is downloaded from, with the date To count each download once per person per day, without storing your IP address Legitimate interests (fair download counts) Deleted regularly. We only need it for the day it’s counted.
Purchase and licence records from Lemon Squeezy, such as your order and licence IDs, plan, price paid, dates, status and the email you used at checkout To turn on Pro, handle cancellations and refunds, and keep our accounts Contract; legal obligation As long as UK tax law requires: currently at least 5 years after the 31 January Self Assessment deadline for that tax year
Messages you send us, including any screenshots or files you choose to attach to a bug report To answer you and fix problems Legitimate interests (helping you) Up to 2 years after the conversation ends
Technical data, such as IP addresses and the time of a request, that our hosting providers handle when you use the website or the hub To deliver the website and hub, and protect them from attacks and abuse Legitimate interests (security) Kept briefly in our providers’ logs

You don’t have to give us any of this. You can build, save and run your own macros without an account. You only need to sign in if you want to import or publish packs, and you only need to pay if you want Pro.

3. What stays on your PC

AFKify works by looking at the game window on your PC. Screenshots, game data and the macros you build stay on your PC. We don’t receive them.

  • A macro only leaves your PC if you choose to publish it as a pack.
  • Discord alerts go straight from your PC to the Discord channel you set up. If you attach a screenshot to an alert, it goes to Discord, not to us.
  • If you send us a bug report, you choose what to include.
  • When you sign in, the app keeps you signed in by saving a sign-in token on your PC.

4. What other people can see

Your privacy is set high by default. Other people, including people without an account, can only see:

  • your display name and the date you joined;
  • the packs you publish, with their descriptions, ratings, download counts and update notes;
  • your creator page, which lists your packs and their totals.

Your Discord ID, Discord username, email address, votes, imports and purchases are never shown to other players. Tip: you don’t have to use your real name as your display name, and we suggest you don’t.

5. What we don’t do

  • We don’t show ads, and we don’t use your data for advertising.
  • We don’t use analytics or tracking tools, on the website or in the app.
  • We don’t sell your data or share it for marketing.
  • We don’t collect your location.
  • We don’t build profiles about you or make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
  • We don’t read, modify or collect data from inside Roblox or any game.

6. Cookies

This website doesn’t use cookies. When you buy Pro, Lemon Squeezy’s checkout may use its own cookies, which are covered by Lemon Squeezy’s privacy policy.

7. Who we share data with

We use a small number of trusted services to run AFKify. Where they act for us (“processors”), they may only use your data to provide their service to us.

Services that handle personal data for AFKify
ServiceWhat it does for usRole
SupabaseHosts our database, sign-in and pack storage, in the EU (Ireland)Processor
DiscordLets you sign in with your Discord account. Discord tells us who you are; it doesn’t get your AFKify data from us.Separate controller of your Discord account
Lemon SqueezySells Pro as our merchant of record: takes payment, handles tax and sends receipts. Card details go to them, never to us.Separate controller (see their privacy policy)
CloudflareHosts this website and forwards emails sent to support@afkify.comProcessor
Our email providerStores support emails so we can read and reply to themProcessor

We may also share data if the law requires it, or to protect someone’s safety. If AFKify is ever sold, your data would move to the new owner, who would have to keep protecting it as this policy says. We’d tell you first.

8. Where your data is stored

Our main database is in the EU (Ireland). UK law treats the EU as giving adequate protection to personal data. Some of our providers are based in the United States or may access data from there. When that happens, we rely on the protections UK law allows, such as the UK–US data bridge or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU standard contractual clauses.

9. Keeping your data safe

  • Data travels over encrypted (HTTPS) connections.
  • Database rules make sure players can only change their own account and packs.
  • Only we can use the admin tools, and we only look at personal data when we need to, for example to answer a support request or check a report.
  • Card details never reach us.

No system is perfectly secure. If a data breach is likely to put you at high risk, we’ll tell you without undue delay.

10. Teens, children and parents

Many Roblox players are teenagers, so we’ve designed AFKify with the ICO’s Age Appropriate Design Code (the “Children’s code”) in mind:

  • 13 and up. You must be 13 or older to have an account. If we find out an account belongs to someone under 13, we’ll delete it. Parents can email us if they think this has happened.
  • Private by default. Nothing about you is public except your display name, when you joined and the packs you choose to publish.
  • Only what we need. We collect the minimum data needed for the features you use, and nothing for advertising or tracking.
  • No location, no profiling, no nudging. We don’t track where you are, build profiles about you, or push you to share more.
  • Buying needs permission. To buy Pro you must be 18 or over, or have a parent’s or guardian’s permission.
  • Easy to ask. You can use your rights yourself, or ask a parent, guardian or someone you trust to help you.

11. Your rights

You have rights over your personal data. You can ask us to:

  • show you the data we have about you and send you a copy (access);
  • fix anything that’s wrong (rectification);
  • delete your data, including your account (erasure);
  • pause using your data while a problem is sorted out (restriction);
  • stop using your data where we rely on legitimate interests (objection);
  • give you your data in a format you can take elsewhere (portability).

Email support@afkify.com to make a request. It’s free. We may need to check it’s really you, for example by asking you to confirm through your Discord account. We’ll reply within one month. If a request is complicated, we may need up to two more months, and we’ll tell you if so.

Some purchase records have to be kept for tax reasons even if you delete your account. For payment details held by Lemon Squeezy, you can also contact them directly.

12. Complaints

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve used your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or 0303 123 1113.

13. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version here with a new date. If a change is important, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before it applies.
